  My adult daughter and I arrived at this store 10 minutes before closing time with a very straight-forward purchase in mind. I've never felt so unwelcome in a store! There were two male employees that did not speak to us, only to each other and in very hushed tones. One of the employees went and stood behind the counter so I asked him for the rope lights I was interested in. I had researched their inventory online and was concerned about installing the lights because their site said an electrician was required. He told me he didn't know how they were connected. I asked if we could look at them and he told me they were back in the warehouse dismissively. I just looked at him. And? He proceeded to walk about 5' from where we were standing and showed me the lights. They were NOT in a warehouse after all! When I showed him the cord I had used on my previous rope lights he said he didn't see how it could work. I don't want to have the expense of an electrician so I felt defeated. After a long pause he tells me that they sell a cord. What?! Why would the website say I needed an electrician to plug something into a socket?! When he found the price I decided not to buy them because they were more expensive than I wanted to pay and it was clear that he didn't want us in the store so close to closing time. We walked out 2 minutes before the store was due to close and the OPEN sign was immediately extinguished. What the heck?! Do women not shop in this store? Does a 4:00 closing time really mean 3:30? I'm buying my lights from Amazon. No need for me to deal with people who aren't even polite.
