  Being from Charlotte I've had the chance to use D&L's services many times over the years and never had a problem. During the first week in April, I purchased a PC board for my electronic range from D&L to replace my damaged board and after installing I found my touch pad was also bad. I called the sales person I just dealt with and he said he didn't have it in stock but he could order it for me but I would have to pay for it in advance. No problem, I gave him my charge card information and the wait began. And after patiently waiting 3 weeks and not hearing a word, I called the same sales person back (April 25th) while driving home from vacation but he couldn't find any information about the transaction. Since I was driving and almost home I told him I would call him back in about 30 minutes with updated information to help him find the transaction, which I did. Then at that time he told me he would call me back in a few minutes. So I waited by the phone for the rest of the day (4 hours) and about 30 minutes before their scheduled closing time I called him back and got his voice mail. He never returned my call that day. The following morning I waited until 8:30 to call back since they opened at 7:30 trying to give the gentleman the benefit of the doubt and return my call. Another employee told me he just walked in and put me on a brief hold. That person came back and told me he would call me back within 20 minutes. I waited ANOTHER 5 hours by the phone for a call that never came. At that point I'd had enough and got what I needed from Cashwell's Appliance Parts. It's good to know D&L isn't the only parts game in town. In my opinion this is a VERY bad way to do business. Employee's need to be held accountable for their actions - or lack there of. I trusted these folks and patiently waited in good faith for over 3 weeks for parts that were never even ordered. Then to have the sales person repeatedly blow me off is inexcusable.

  I love this parts place! If they had any weekend or evening hours, they would be perfect! They are VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE not only about their parts, but also about appliance repair. Seriously, these are the pros. I'm an unhandy amateur woman fixing my own stuff. I call to see if they carry the parts for a particular brand, and I come away from the phone knowing which part(s) I probably need to solve my problem! When I went to their COMPETITORS once, the guys behind the counter were CLUELESS; they could tell me nothing and brought out the wrong part even though I had handed them the burnt-out part to replace. Mr. Clueless even insisted he had the right part (which looked totally different) until I patiently explained that his part would not fit my appliance. Eventually, the guy brought out the right thing. D&L is soooooo much better.
